PowerDash helps major clean power generators verify production for New England Power Pool

July 1, 2009

PowerDash has begun supporting commercial-scale renewable power generators with a service to independently verify their production in the New England Power Pool (ISO-NE). This independent monitoring is required for many Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) programs, including the Massachusetts RPS. Renewable Portfolio Standard programs are one of the most important policy tools by which the supply of clean power production is being expanded on the US electric grid.

PowerDash customers in Massachusetts requested this service immediately after the State's RPS requirements were released at the end of 2008. Facilities being served include some of the largest distributed generation plants in the Northeast, including the largest rooftop solar PV installation in Massachusetts.
